Operational Efficiency Residency Resources

Operational Efficiency Residency Resources

Operational efficiency creates time and space for pools to focus on member needs. Poorly executed meetings, email, reporting and constant requests consume valuable time and attention— limiting high-impact, member-centered work.

Our 2026 residency identifies where time is going, then teaches pool teams better habits for lasting changes.

You and your team will learn:
  • Your current efficiency patterns and areas of operational friction
  • How to control common workplace time drains
  • Ways to focus on high-impact work and reduce or eliminate low-value tasks
  • When to say “no” to simplify work and reduce unnecessary demands
  • Why you should rethink meetings — when to attend, decline or adjust participation
  • What is truly urgent among competing priorities
  • How to improve email habits

Residency Experience at Staff Institute
Registration is open for the Residency Experience at Staff Institute 2026, Oct. 4–6 in Minneapolis.

AGRiP Resident Juliet Funt will lead this 2.5-day program for pool executives and senior staff. Participants will translate insight into action — from practicing a reductive mindset to making it stick across your pool.

Space is limited to 130, and senior staff should confirm their pool executive supports their attendance.

Sessions explore:
  • What a reductive mindset looks like in practice and how to put it to work immediately
  • Better ways to decide where your pool’s time, energy and attention belong
  • Practical strategies for letting go of roles, tasks and habits that no longer serve your team
  • Desk-level skills for managing the daily demands that consume capacity
  • Approaches for leading change and building the trust and accountability that sustain it
  • Making efficiency a lasting part of your pool’s culture and operations

Workplace Efficiency Survey
Complete a comprehensive efficiency survey to get a clear picture of how staff time and energy are actually being used — and where you can reclaim and repurpose time for member-focused work.

Participating pools receive aggregated results through a dashboard and report that highlights where operational friction is having impact.

Access is available to AGRiP members. Request access to the survey.
