Staff Forum 2025 is October 5–7 in Austin, Texas. Join fellow pooling professionals to sharpen your skills, strengthen your network, learn best practices and gain valuable insights from peers and industry experts.

At Staff Forum, you will:

  • Explore issues relevant in pooling today, including AI tools to improve efficiency, emerging risk exposures, evolving member expectations and innovative service delivery models
  • Share knowledge, insights and lessons learned through facilitated discussions designed to reflect the diversity of pooling roles — from claims to governance
  • Collaborate in small groups to develop actionable tools and strategies relevant to your team’s day-to-day work
  • Discover practical technology solutions you should be considering right now
  • Strengthen connections with peers who understand the unique challenges and opportunities in pooling

Who Should Attend

Staff Forum is recommended for pooling professionals with three or more years of experience in the industry and/or who have completed our Pooling Basics curriculum through Pooling Academy.

This conference encourages learning from and sharing ideas with fellow pooling professionals, including through cross-functional conversations. Although pool governing body members are not prohibited from attending, they generally do not find the format or content of this conference as useful or comfortable for their needs.

What to Expect

Staff Forum is your opportunity to learn how other pools operate and support their members. It’s a place to gather great ideas and bring them back to your own pool. View the schedule.

You’ll have the chance to ask questions that matter to your specific role and seek guidance from peers who truly understand your challenges. You’ll build a network of trusted colleagues, expand your perspective and connect with those who share your mission.

We’re covering timely AI topics such as:

  • Building custom chatbots using open-source tools
  • How pools are using ChapGPT, Claude and Copilot
  • Enhancing brand communications with AI-generated content
  • Protecting sensitive data when using AI tools
  • Fundamentals and advanced strategies for effective AI prompt writing
  • Forming an internal AI committee
  • Using AI to streamline your claims, underwriting and risk management business processes

AI is a hot topic for pools, but there’s plenty of other useful content also planned:

  • Ten mega trends shaping cities and communities
  • Trends in cyber claims
  • Monitoring the dark web and investigating cyber risks
  • Lessons from pooling best practice reviews
  • Podcasting to engage and inform members
  • Comparing pool metrics to traditional insurance benchmarks
  • Why a member philosophy makes a difference
  • The role of sleep, recovery and balance in long-term success
