Dan Greensweig of League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) and TX Health Benefits Pool are recipients of our 2025 Awards for Excellence in Leadership and Performance, respectively.
Dan, Administrator of LMCIT, is receiving the Award for Excellence in Leadership. He has worked to demonstrably improve the approach, conversation and treatment of PTSD among first responders.
He is widely recognized by his pooling peers for leadership on this issue, deepening and adjusting the discussion about PTSD for workers’ compensation and liability in ways that are beneficial to first responders, their public entity employers and the wider community of pools. Dan’s sharing and mentorship on this and many other topics is well known within the pooling community, as is his ready willingness to support his pooling peers.
TX Health Benefits Pool is receiving the Award for Excellence in Performance for its outcomes-oriented cybersecurity program that addresses a uniquely important risk issue for pools: protecting member data assets.
The program’s innovative approach to cybersecurity is a good example for pools as cyber risks become more sophisticated. The pool holds itself to standards higher than those required by HIPAA regulations, uses a certified ethical hacker to detect and harden security, gives a quarterly staff cybersecurity recognition award to foster ongoing employee vigilance and engagement, and has exceptionally high security ratings from five independent rating entities.
Congratulations to Dan and TX Health Benefits Pool for making a lasting impact on the pooling industry. Recipients will be recognized and celebrated at Governance Conference 2025. Read more about the contributions made by Dan and TX Health Benefits Pool.
