Dan Greensweig, Administrator of the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT), is recipient of AGRiP's prestigious Award for Excellence in Leadership

Dan will be recognized for his work to demonstrably improve the approach, conversation and treatment of PTSD among first responders in Minnesota. His work has resonated with his peers across the nation for deepening the discussion about PTSD for workers’ compensation and liability in ways that support first responders, their public entity employers and pools.

“Dan led his pool in using a data-informed approach to identify and develop resources and services that address critical public safety mental health needs,” said Barb Zemlock, President of the AGRiP Board of Directors.

"Dan’s leadership is defined by innovation, curiosity, and a deep commitment to improving public safety,” said Dave Callister, President of the LMCIT Board of Trustees. “His ability to connect ideas, champion evidence-based solutions, and mentor staff has made a lasting impact on LMCIT, its members, and communities across Minnesota.”

AGRiP’s Award for Excellence in Leadership is given to an individual in the public entity risk pooling community of the United States, Canada and Australia. The award honors transformational leadership, resolution of one or more challenges of the time, demonstrated mentorship of others, and exceptional professional development. Greensweig will receive the award Tuesday, Mar. 18, at Governance Conference 2025.
