Your Next Steps in Speaking

We’re excited for you to join us as a presenter at Governance Conference 2026. Please review the information on this page and let your AGRiP contact know if you have questions.

We recommend you also read our Tips for Success, which offer guidance to help you deliver a clear, effective presentation specifically within our environment.

    • Title of your session

    • Session description (100–150 words)

    • High-level outline of your session (key topics you’ll cover)

Register for the conference and reserve your hotel room.

All speakers must register for the conference and make their own hotel arrangements. The deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 6.

Once you complete your online registration, you will be provided with information for hotel reservations. We encourage you to book your hotel room as early as possible. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis until the room block closes on Feb. 6, or until all rooms in the block are sold out. Contact Stacey if you need assistance or have questions about lodging.

AGRiP does not pay members to speak at our events, nor do we waive conference registration fees. If you are not an AGRiP member eligible to register or if you do not plan to stay for the conference event, talk with your AGRiP contact about special arrangements.

Collaborate closely with your AGRiP contact.

AGRiP is committed to helping every presenter succeed. That’s why the process of presenting at an AGRiP conference is highly collaborative. Our staff reviews all session content — even from the most experienced presenters — to ensure it resonates with the unique needs of pooling professionals. We may offer guidance and suggest relevant examples to help strengthen your session for attendees or connect it to other appropriate conference content.

AGRiP conferences bring together people in pool functions like underwriting, claims, risk management, member services and finance, as well as governing body members (at some events). While pools share common missions, they differ significantly in coverage offered, organizational and employee structure, membership, size and scope, local regulation and governance. If there’s context we can provide to help you understand pool demographics or dynamics, please let us know.

Prepare for your on-site delivery.

Our conference program is tightly scheduled, with only 15 minutes between presentations. To keep everything running smoothly — and out of respect for fellow presenters — please begin and end your session on time.

To maximize time on content, you will start and end your own session (only keynote presenters are introduced).

Session rooms will be set up with the following equipment:

  • Stage with a lectern/podium, table and chairs

  • Laptop with your presentation loaded and ready to present

  • Projector and screen

  • One or more microphones (lavaliere, podium, tabletop) depending on session and number of speakers

  • Sound system

We do not always have dedicated AV support in concurrent session rooms but will have a staff person assigned to the room to provide assistance if needed.

Room setups will vary based on available space but typically include a mix of seating options — round tables, rows of chairs, and bar-height tables at the back of the room.

Download the conference app.

All AGRiP conferences are paperless. We use theEventsential app to share the conference agenda, travel and venue information, speaker details, presentation decks and handouts. All app content is also fully accessible through standard web browsers

Speakers are encouraged to use the app to become familiar with conference plans overall, as well as your specific session timing, room assignment, etc.
