OVERVIEW

Virtual Assembly is a collaborative event in which AGRiP members will share and discuss solutions for challenges pools and their members are facing.

Content will be appropriate for a wide array of pool roles, particularly department heads and staff working in claims, coverage and reinsurance, and risk management.

The virtual format makes it possible to send multiple attendees, each of whom should be prepared to fully participate in small group conversations. However, because discussion groups are limited in size and randomly assigned, be judicious in how many people you register for each discussion group.

ATTENDEES WILL:

  • View short presentations ahead of the conference to prepare for live discussion sessions. Presentations will be released the week of May 10 for on-demand viewing. Topics include:
    • Law enforcement liability
    • Cyber liability
    • School liability
    • Weather patterns and property coverage
    • Workers’ compensation presumptions
    • Specialty drug costs

A keynote presentation on exploring long-term remote work mental health challenges will also be released ahead of the conference.

  • Participate in small group discussions looking at each of the six presentation topics (two per day) through one of three chosen focus areas: claims, coverage and reinsurance, or risk management. (You’ll pick your focus area for each topic when registering. You may register for different focus areas per topic.)

Attendees will break into randomized small groups to discuss relevant issues, ideas and potential solutions. Discussion groups will have prompts and methods for effective sharing of insights.

All groups within a focus area will then come together for facilitated cross-pollination of practical ideas, insights and innovations.

Upcoming Conferences

2021 Conferences

Virtual Assembly
AGRiP Virtual Assemblies will provide educational content and opportunities for pool-to-pool problem-solving. Attendees of all types will engage in a mix of issue-specific presentations and “think tank” sessions. Content and timely topics will be unique to each event, so plan to attend. Mark your calendars and bring your whole staff team. Next assembly is Dec. 7-9.

Residency
will continue to deliver succession planning resources throughout 2021 via a series of facilitated interactions with top pool executives. Dates and specifics will be announced throughout early 2021.

Fall Forum
AGRiP is monitoring the possibility for an in-person Fall Forum. Given the ongoing pandemic, we think an in-person event is unlikely. A decision is anticipated this spring.
