Staff Forum (formerly named Fall Forum) is transforming in several key ways beginning this year. We last held our fall conference in person in 2019 and a lot has changed since then, including expectations around how we learn, unprecedented staff turnover (in many industries, including pooling), and the even greater need for community among those who understand the work of pools.
Many conference sessions will be extended to 90 minutes and will incorporate collaborative learning and peer support frameworks such as case studies, scenarios, table top exercises, small group work, and more. Attendees will use their time together to solve problems across pool roles and functions with claims, underwriting, loss control, finance, member services and other perspectives contributing to each discussion. There will also be some traditional presentation sessions to meet varying needs of learners and topics being presented.
The new name — Staff Forum — helps distinguish this conference from the other flagship AGRiP events (Governance Conference in the spring and CEO Institute each summer). Staff Forum is the place for operational problem solving and getting to know your peers in public entity pooling. It’s an opportunity to bring several members of your pool’s team and explore topics and approaches that will help you in your pooling roles, every day.
