Content Specialist

The Association of Governmental Risk Pools (AGRiP) is looking for one or more communication professionals who want to share the story of public entity pooling. In our new Content Specialist role, you’ll write, record and edit content to support all AGRiP activities using an array of content tools, outlets and formats.

AGRiP is looking to hire up to three people (may include full- or part-time) into this role with the possibility of shared duties and responsibilities. The split of duties and allocation of time will depend upon candidate experience, background and qualifications. We anticipate hiring 1.5 to 2.0 FTE.

AGRiP staff is fully remote and works in a highly flexible environment. Candidates may live and work from anywhere in the United States.

The role is ideal for someone who has been working in public entity pooling for two or more years and is ready to expand their communications breadth and influence. The role would also be a good fit for someone who is more experienced within pooling and wants to help AGRiP energize the industry.

In this role, you will draft written content (including video and podcast scripting) about and for AGRiP conferences, projects and membership; our members’ activities; and industry events and other notable developments. By developing content for AGRiP’s website, newsletters, social media outlets, direct email outreach, and other publications or distribution vehicles, you will directly support AGRiP’s overall brand and messaging.

To be effective in this role, you’ll need to be an experienced writer using a variety of communications tools and outlets. You must be able to write crisp, clean copy. You’ll also need to be effective working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Video and podcast editing experience is preferred.

AGRiP values critical thinking, innovative ideas, quick learners, people who challenge a status-quo mentality, the ability to work collaboratively and iteratively, and effective communicators. We have an energetic, creative team that has developed tremendous affinity with 220 member pools and over 100 industry partners in North America and Australia.
