The North Bay Schools Insurance Authority (NBSIA) is seeking a Property/Liability Claims and Risk Manager. Under general supervision of the Executive Director, the Property/Liability Claims and Risk Manager plans, directs, manages, and oversees the activities of the Property/Liability Claims Department, including the development of claim management policies and procedures. Coordinates assigned activities with other departments, members and outside agencies that deliver cost-effective claims and risk management and develops programs and services designed to prevent or mitigate loss related to property and liability exposures and provides highly complex assistance to the Executive Director, Board of Directors and Members. The position requires excellent communication skills, proactive thinking, and the ability to manage, investigate, analyze and evaluate highly complex claims.
