Controller - Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CO)


The Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA) is seeking an experienced Controller with strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring that the financial practices and policies support the strategic goals and improve the effectiveness of the organization.

The Controller coordinates the functions of the Finance Department under the direction of the Assistant Director/Chief Financial Officer. The Controller will lead the team in areas including, but not limited to, financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll; the development and implementation of departmental goals, objectives, and policies; identifying and implementing improvements to Finance Department procedures; reviewing financial statements, reports, records, and reconciliations; developing and administering annual budgets; calculating loss projections and setting rates; and performing special projects as assigned.
