Pool staff at every level and in every role spend nearly four hours each workday managing email and another two hours in meetings, according to early findings from our workplace efficiency survey.
Based on findings within its team, one participating pool reduced the number of recurring staff meetings to free up time for more meaningful work. The pool also created clear expectations for email response standards and taught staff to identify when saying “no” to new work was acceptable.
The pool used its findings to overcome task-minded obstacles and reinforce strategic strengths. It celebrated the finding that staff seldom or only occasionally allowed work to intrude on personal time. It doubled down on policies and practices that encouraged focused work time and minimized work interruptions.
Other participating pools are using their own survey results to guide internal conversations. High response rates give pool leaders confidence that findings accurately reflect the overall staff experience, which means adaptations are appropriate for a pool’s unique work environment.
AGRiP member pools can implement the custom survey at no cost. Executives receive pool-specific results and industry benchmarking data that provide a clearer picture of what's working well, where friction exists and where to focus improvements.
