Join the Membership Practices Committee to Support Advisory Standards for Recognition

The Membership Practices Committee (MPC) plays a key role in supporting the Advisory Standards for Recognition by reviewing and implementing new standards, developing sample materials and conducting peer reviews of Recognition applications. This engaged group brings real-world perspectives that enhance consistency and quality across pools, while offering valuable professional development and a deeper understanding of the full scope of public entity pooling.

The MPC meets two to three times a year via Zoom and provides a collaborative forum for discussion and shared learning. The committee is composed of a mix of top pool executives, senior staff and managers, creating a range of perspectives and meaningful opportunities for mentorship. Meetings focus on topics that influence pool operations and Recognition efforts, helping reviewers learn from one another and advance pooling best practices.

MPC members share insights from their own pools, stay informed on evolving standards, and help shape guidance that promotes consistency, understanding and quality across the industry. Serving on the MPC offers valuable exposure to the different ways pools are structured and operate.
