Governance Conference 2025 attendees shared enthusiasm for many sessions, including AI content, our ever-popular Pooling Basics curriculum, advice on creating productive dialogue, measuring member engagement, and the state of the reinsurance market. Pool executives gave the conference an amazing net promoter score (NPS) of 85.
Topping the charts for positive feedback was a keynote session on healthy habits and a related session about the importance of getting good sleep. Surprised this was so popular? Us, too.
Here’s our take on why this session struck a chord: People in pooling give tremendous time and energy to helping others. These sessions were a good reminder that you need to be whole and healthy in order to be effective supporting your members and those around you.
You can view resources from Dr. Param Dedhia’s sessions on living longer and the importance of sleep. He advised seven to nine hours of sleep nightly for mind and body repair, and reduced health risks. Dedhia promoted mindful nutrition using the Choose My Plate method—fifty percent plants, twenty-five percent starches, twenty-five percent protein with diverse colors in meals. He recommended "core four" exercises—muscle building, fitness, flexibility, and balance—and mindfulness to nurture change and joy.
So if you want to be better positioned to help pool members, eat the rainbow, do some stretching, and go to bed!
