Property/Casualty Program Director – Park District Risk Management Agency (IL)

  

The Park District Risk Management Agency (PDRMA), an intergovernmental risk pool in Illinois serving park and recreation agencies, forest preserves and special recreation associations, is recruiting a Property/Casualty Program Director to lead all aspects of its property/casualty insurance operations. This senior leadership role involves managing claims and risk management services, underwriting, Member education and training programs, and Member relations.

Key Responsibilities: The director will set direction for the Property/Casualty Program, lead staff, manage underwriting, monitor claims and coverage issues, and oversee claims administration and risk management services to our Members. They also guide Member education and retention strategies and represent the program to stakeholders.

Qualifications required: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, over 10 years of relevant experience managing property/casualty claims and risk operations, at least 5 years of supervisory experience, and current knowledge of insurance coverage, underwriting, claims, and property/casualty risk management principles. Strong communication and analytical skills and ability to travel are also required.

Preferred qualifications and benefits: A master’s degree, knowledge of public entity risk pools, and professional certifications such as CPCU, AIC, or ARM are preferred.
