The California Joint Powers Risk Management Authority (CJPRMA) is seeking an experienced and collaborative claims professional to lead one of California's premier public entity liability claims programs.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Claims Administrator provides strategic leadership for CJPRMA's excess liability claims program, overseeing complex litigation, claims operations, and member agency claims services. This position works closely with member agencies, defense counsel, reinsurers, and industry partners to deliver exceptional claims management while protecting public resources.
This is far more than a traditional claims management position. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to member agencies, provide guidance on litigation strategy and contractual risk transfer, develop innovative claims management practices, supervise professional claims staff, and help shape the future of one of California's most respected public entity risk pools.
Ideal candidates will possess significant experience managing complex public entity liability claims, demonstrated leadership ability, strong litigation management skills, and a passion for serving local government.
Salary: $163,840 to $196,608 annually, plus an excellent benefits package.
