The Montana Association of Counties (MACo) is seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster for their Property and Casualty Trust (PCT). The primary focus of this position is to handle all liability and property damage claims. This position will investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of the Trust’s liability concerning personal, casualty, or property loss or damages; and attempt to effect settlement with claimants. Employees in this position must be able to analyze a wide variety of information and make an independent judgment as to the accuracy of the information. This position has extensive contacts with MACo members, MACo staff, Boards of Trustees, governing boards, claimants, medical providers, agents, and attorneys.
Successful applicants should have a combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in a related field with five or more years’ related experience in adjusting property claims. Experience with liability claims is required. AIC designation preferred. Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.
The salary range is $75,930 – $91,482 depending on experience. MACo offers a generous benefit package including health insurance (including dental and vision), 401k retirement contribution, vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.
