The Association of Washington Cities (AWC) is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to serve as our next Director of Member Pooling Programs. This role is central to sustaining and advancing a suite of innovative, high-performing programs that cities, towns, and local governments across Washington rely on for stability, cost-effectiveness, and peace of mind.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of AWC’s Executive Team, the Director will guide a talented group of program directors and staff in delivering trusted solutions in risk management, employee benefits, health promotion, workers’ compensation, and workplace safety. This position is not only about operational excellence, but also about leadership that builds trust, strengthens partnerships, and anticipates the challenges members face in an increasingly complex environment.
The Director of Member Pooling Programs leads and manages the AWC’s member pooling programs under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer. These programs include:
• The AWC Employee Benefit Trust (AWC Trust)
• The AWC Risk Management Service Agency (RMSA)
• The AWC Workers’ Comp Retro Program (Retro)
• The AWC Drug & Alcohol Consortium (D&A Consortium)
