Apply for Reimbursement for Internships and Scholarships
Member pools in good standing can apply for reimbursement for internships and scholarships paid in the 2025 calendar year. Reimbursement offsets your pool’s own financial contribution, creating a more sustainable scholarship or internship program. Apply now.
Complete one application for each internship or scholarship reimbursement request. Applications for reimbursement are:
-
Intended to support pools by reimbursing payments made on internships and scholarships during the calendar year Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2025, regardless of the pool's fiscal year or the student's academic year.
In addition to a completed application, reimbursements will be evaluated on the following:
-
Whether the internship or scholarship is directly tied to pool-related functions and/or operations, with preference for those in which there is a direct and obvious tie to public entity pool operations. For example, preference is given for an underwriting internship in which the student gathers and analyzes member contribution data or a communications intern who writes about risk management and dividends, over an intern doing general data entry. Preference is also given to a student in a degree field with a direct tie to pooling, such as actuarial science, insurance or risk management.
-
The number of times a pool has received prior scholarship reimbursement through AGRiP, with preference given to pools with lesser utilization of AGRiP funding and a maximum lifetime cap per pool of $15,000.
If your pool did not disburse funds for an internship or scholarship during the calendar year of Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2025, your pool is not eligible to apply for reimbursement this term.
The next application period will open in October 2026 for internships or scholarships paid during the calendar year of Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026.
Reimbursement amounts are discretionary and may vary, and your pool may not be reimbursed for any of its expenditures or may be reimbursed for only part of its expenditures.
