Employee Benefits Issues

The American Health Benefit Exchange Model Act adopted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.  The model act carries the date 11/22/10; but was adopted by the NAIC Joint Executive & Plenary Committee on 12/16/10.  The NAIC is posting all of their Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act documents and models at http://www.naic.org/index_health_reform_section.htm.

Individual state programs very likely will be based on this model act, or minor deviations from it.

You can locate individual state insurance department websites using this NAIC website page: http://www.naic.org/state_web_map.htm.
