Johnnie Miller, Chief Executive Officer of the Utah Counties Indemnity Pool (UCIP) has been selected by the AGRiP Board of Directors to receive the 2018 Award for Excellence in Service.
With a public entity pooling background that spans three decades, Miller has developed a well-rounded base of expertise. As CEO of UCIP since 2008, he is often called upon to interpret statutes governing public entities in the State of Utah. He maintains relationships with several state officials, and is heavily involved in the Counties' Civil Attorneys Legislative Advisory Committee and the Utah Association of Counties Legislative Committee.
He holds multiple professional designations through the Insurance Institute of America and the National Alliance for Insurance Education. A former member of the AGRiP Board of Directors, Miller has also served in several committee positions for County Reinsurance Limited (CRL), served on the Board of Directors of the National League of Cities Mutual Insurance Company (NLCMIC), and is president of Utah's Chapter of the Public Risk Management Association.
Miller's extensive, distinguished career in public entity pooling is recognized through his selection for the Award for Excellence in Service. He will receive the award March 6, during the 2018 Governance & Leadership Conference.
