The Impact of Cyber Security, Autonomous Vehicles and Smart Tech on Local Government and Risk Pools: Smart tech and autonomous vehicles present new cyber-related impacts to public entities and pools, alike. Presented by Ohio Transit Risk Pool Chief Executive Office Barbara Rhoades and Montana Association of Counties Trust Operations Director Jerry Spears, this webinar will look at how emerging and shifting automated vehicle technology impacts local governments, and the pools that manage these risks.

After an overview of recent cyber attacks, participants will examine existing connectivity risks, and learn how, as risk managers for local entities, pools can both provide resources and responses in a nimble and innovative fashion.

Attendees will learn how self-driving vehicles, shifts in member profiles and liability, insurance law and severity of auto claims, and data security impact public entities. Coverage documents, reinsurance, risk management cyber defenses, and reputational considerations will also be addressed. Participants will receive a list of suggestions to help address these growing risks.
